The Notion Content Planner That Doubled My Output

How a simple database structure helped me publish twice as often without burning out.

Content planning used to be my bottleneck. I'd spend hours brainstorming, then lose track of drafts. My old system was a spreadsheet with 47 columns — analysis paralysis. So I stripped it down to the essentials in Notion: a content calendar linked to a 'Pieces' database, with properties for stage, platform, and channel.

The game-changer was a 'Batch' property. I group similar tasks (e.g., write three Instagram captions in one sitting) and assign them a batch number. Now I produce content in focused sprints rather than switching contexts constantly.

Since implementing this, I've gone from 2 blog posts per week to 4, plus social media. The structure is available in my Content Planner template — it's the same one I use daily.
